The only way one can "know that we know" him, is by salvation by grace through faith (plus nothing): afterward, we must live a moral life According to the Ten Commandments. Before the cross and its justification powers, there is no measure of morality great or small that can save us from our sins. (Salvation is only by repentance and faith in the blood of Jesus Christ). Pre-justification doctrine mixed up with post-justification doctrine is a dangerous conflation by Laodicean theologians, pastors, bishops, and even laymen. In other words, before salvation, the moral rule and code of the Ten Commandments CANNOT save you by any means.  However, after salvation, we are spiritually indentured to live morally because the divine nature of the Ten Commandments is etched deeply onto our hearts by the spirit. Now then, the regenerated Christian mind loves God and therefore wants to keep his commandments. With that being said, if we say "we know that we know" him and we violate the Ten Commandments with impunity, and as a regular course of life, the scripture says you are a LIAR and the truth is not in you!

Austin Gatherings uses the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, and Pastor Mark Jones will be preaching today out of 1 John 2:4-6.
